My name is Danielle Moorman and I am the executive director of the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award. I wanted to congratulate you on your fellow Tiger fans on Cam Newton being named a Finalist! In case you have not already heard the exciting news, attached is the press release that went out earlier today making the announcement. As the contact for the DFW Cam chapter, I wanted to make you aware of this, as well as several other opportunities we have for your fellow Tiger fans.

Until the Davey O’Brien Winner is announced on December 9, you and Tiger fans across the country have the chance to show your support for Cam by participating in The O’Brien Fan Vote online at www.VoteOBrien.org. The Fan Vote will count for 5% of the overall voting tally in determining the Winner.

The O’Brien Winner will be announced December 9 on The Home Depot College Football Award Show, airing on ESPN at 6 p.m. (CT). Be sure to tune in early as we are the first award announced on the show!

The 2011 Awards Dinner will honor this year’s O’Brien Quarterback Award Winner in conjunction with the O’Brien Legends Award Winner, Bob Griese, and the O’Brien High School Scholarship Winner. The banquet is a black-tie affair and will be held February 21, 2011 at The Fort Worth Club in downtown Fort Worth. Should you or anyone in your organization be interested in attending the event, I have attached a form with more information. Individual tickets are also available for $200 each.
