War Eagle!

President: Mark Kantor '87  E-mail: makantor@yahoo.com

Objective:
Lee County Auburn Club has developed a program called 'Friendliest Village on the Plains'...

The purpose of the program is to promote and encourage the hospitable and friendly Auburn spirit; specifically on football weekends, as a way to help visiting teams’ fans feel at home on the Auburn campus.

Implementation:
Through design, promotion and distribution of a lapel pin, we will help foster
and grow the sense of family that is already a part of the typical Auburn University supporter. The pin will feature Aubie, who is loved by all and embodies the Auburn spirit (as seen above), as he will be the focal point of the campaign. Pins will be sold
(for approximately $5 each) at Tiger Rags’ tents on game days, through word of mouth, and possibly at additional vendors locations. Proceeds of the pin sales will support the Club's continued contributions toward scholarships for Lee County high school students that attend Auburn.

Goals:
1. Increase the hospitality that Auburn fans exhibit toward the visiting fans of rival institutions’ sports teams
2. Encourage every Auburn Tiger fan to be hospitable towards a rival fan on each game day here on campus, for every sport in which Auburn fields a team
3. Promote Auburn’s good reputation as a friendly campus and as an institution comprised of students, alumni, friends, faculty, and staff who live the Auburn Creed
4. Become known as the top university in the nation in hospitality

Current Supporters:
* Fully endorsed by Auburn University President Jay Gogue and Aubie
* Tiger Rags

It's never too early to stock up on the Lee County Auburn Club Aubie Christmas Ornament. Proceeds go to support the LCAC Annual Scholarship Fund. Last year the Lee County Auburn Club gave out 6 scholarships to deserving Auburn students, and we hope to match that in 2012. The ornaments are on sale now for $8.00 ($2.00 off the entry price) or you can purchase three for $20.00. For more contact me on Facebook or email me at freemms@auburn.edu. If anyone is in need of the Official FVP Pin, contact me at freemms@auburn.edu or 334-740-1267. The pins are on sale now for just $4.00 each while supplies last. The FVP pin is a great way to promote Auburn University and spread the word that we are truly the Friendliest Village on the Plains. WAR EAGLE!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday and we will see you on the Plains as the Auburn Tigers look to upset #2 Alabama and dash their bid for another BCS title berth. We will need everyone to be ALL IN and lift this young group of Tigers up in hopes of pulling off a major upset on the Plains. Auburn hasn't lost at home since the 2009 Iron Bowl, a game that went down to the wire. WAR EAGLE AND BEAT BAMA!

Thanks to everyone who came out to support Auburn Baseball on the 10th of April. We had a good time with everyone and plan on making next years Baseball Social one to remember. Plans are in the works to make it special for everyone in the program. War Eagle!
